We\u2019re celebrating individuals making waves through their hard work, determination and creativity in their respective industries. We\u2019re launching this brand new initiative this summer, and are thrilled to be <\/span>affirming our mission to empower the creative economy to rise together, doing what they love.<\/span><\/p>\n

WHAT IS IT:<\/h2>\n

20 On The Rise is a curated list of the individuals who are making waves and raising the tide, rocking their respective industries through hard work, determination and creativity. <\/span>This isn\u2019t a popularity contest nor is it a \u2018most liked\u2019 list. 20 ON THE RISE<\/a> is all about the up and coming voices who deserved to be recognized. This is a celebration of 20 rising stars in 5 categories that you nominate and we choose. <\/span><\/p>\n

WHO IS IT FOR<\/h2>\n

Who we are as a community doesn\u2019t fit into a box and as multi-passionate creators, we wouldn\u2019t have it any other way. This list is for creative entrepreneurs, small business owners, side-hustle CEOs, freelancers, consultants and all the rest. To make it easier, we\u2019ve crafted 5 broad categories that cover most of the creative industries that make up our community. We\u2019ll be selecting 20 individuals in each category to celebrate through this list. <\/span><\/p>\n

20 PEOPLE x 5 CATEGORIES = 100 WAVEMAKERS.<\/h3>\n

The five categories for this year\u2019s list include: designers, makers, image makers, event professionals and business development experts. See a full list of industries included on the event landing page<\/a><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

WHY ARE WE HOSTING IT:<\/h2>\n

It has been our dream for over a year to identify and celebrate individuals in our community who are raising the tide. We wanted to curate a list that wasn\u2019t based on popularity, votes, or the size of someone\u2019s social media following\u2014a list that represented the extraordinary diversity of the creative economy.<\/span><\/p>\n

We wanted to highlight fresh faces and dynamic voices on a global scale. This initiative is the manifestation of our values and a vision that we are thrilled to share with the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are always seeking avenues to act on our core values:<\/strong>
\n<\/span>– People come first<\/span>
\n<\/span>– We go the extra mile<\/span>
\n<\/span>– We love what we do<\/span>
\n<\/span>– We are fearless<\/span>
\n<\/span>– We are family<\/span><\/p>\n

This initiative is a way for us to empower and elevate the voices of our community, truly putting you first and living out our mission as a brand. <\/span><\/p>\n

We must champion community over competition in order to truly raise the tide for all. This means celebrating and supporting the accomplishments of others because success is not a zero sum game. It means elevating fresh voices, rooting for the up and comers, and working every single day to leave this industry a little better than how we found it. <\/span><\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

WHAT\u2019S NEXT<\/h2>\n

We will be working quickly over the summer to accept your nominations, review all nominees, and make our final selections for the 2018 20 ON THE RISE<\/a> list. This process will be extensive and we appreciate your patience as we review each nomination submitted.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are several ways to get involved. First: help us identify and celebrate the creators, the risk-takers, and the rising stars who are pushing the limits by nominating<\/strong><\/a> up to 3 individuals now through July 11, 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can also download and share one of our social graphics<\/a><\/strong> to spread the word about this initiative!
