But who can even imagine how many emails entrepreneurs are inundated with on a daily basis ,considering that they cover the role of multiple office workers on the regular?<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>So, is email marketing dead?<\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not a chance. In fact, it\u2019s still probably the most reliable marketing channel because it combines a direct line of communication with an element of exclusivity.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That, my friends, is the recipe for wooing new visitors into lifelong fans. AND, you can do it in a shorter time span than any other platform.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>BUT, it is true that boring email marketing is definitely dead.&nbsp;<\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Simple email best practices will get you to a solid email, but, the questions remain:<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How do we get someone to open the email in the first place?<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How do we ensure that we\u2019re contributing to inbox happy mail instead of being lumped into a dreaded delete routine?<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How do we utilize email to build a relationship that results in that need and desire to pick up <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">whatever<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> it is you\u2019re putting down, even when it comes time to actually sell?<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"tadv-format-panel\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Information is not enough.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"tadv-format-panel\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I want to teach you how to craft an evergreen nurture sequence that will have people dying to book with you, buy from you, and be your bestie&#8211;even as it\u2019s running while you sleep.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(For more tips on this topic, head over to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jessicajordana.com\/blog-1\">my blog<\/a> for all the goods!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>Elevated Evergreen Sequence Email Best Practices:<\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nurture, don\u2019t welcome.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you think \u201cwelcome sequence,\u201d you probably think of introducing someone to yourself and your business. WELCOME TO ME, people!<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"tadv-format-panel\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Nurturing.\u201d That word probably brings up thoughts of <\/span><i><span class=\"tadv-format-panel\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\">who <\/span><\/i><span class=\"tadv-format-panel\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\">it is you need to nurture, support, guide. Nurturing means putting your audience first, and strategically positioning yourself alongside them as the systematic solution to their current problem.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Email Marketing Best Practices Takeaway: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Instead of telling your whole life story, use very specific stories that will relate to what you want to help your audience do, who you want them to become, the transformation you want them to have. They\u2019ll start to see you as an authority on that transformation, because you\u2019ve been through it, too. But, they\u2019ll also trust you more because you haven\u2019t always had it figured out.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It seems like a given, but infusing your imperfection into your message belongs on your list for best practices in email marketing.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(I mean, who else thinks some fashion bloggers\/influencers are robots? Just me? Cool.)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Build a culture of action.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"tadv-format-panel\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Repeat after me, please: Engagement is a privilege, not a right. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"tadv-format-panel\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is a lesson I learned in the teaching world. My high school kids didn\u2019t <\/span><i><span class=\"tadv-format-panel\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\">owe<\/span><\/i><span class=\"tadv-format-panel\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> me their attention, I had to earn it by showing them that <\/span><i><span class=\"tadv-format-panel\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\">when they took action, success (and transformation) would follow<\/span><\/i><span class=\"tadv-format-panel\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>You have to earn engagement from your audience by showing them the actions you ask them to take will have an optimal result.<\/b><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This doesn\u2019t have to always be a result like \u201cmaking 6 figures\u201d or \u201cgetting their first client.\u201d A result can be as simple as receiving a response when they reply to your email or comment on your Instagram feed. If they take action and it only comes up with crickets, they\u2019re not likely to take that action again, especially when it really counts.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"tadv-format-panel\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are all in the business of selling a transformation. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"tadv-format-panel\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Transformation requires action, not from us, but from them.&nbsp;<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Let\u2019s get even more nerdy:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> When someone takes action, it activates the procedural brain. This gets more neural pathways involved than the act of simply taking in information.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Translation:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> When people take action with information, it <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">actually sticks.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Translation of the translation:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The more your people interact with you by taking small action, the more they\u2019ll REMEMBER you, and you\u2019ll be top of mind when they come into contact with the pain you solve.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Email Marketing Best Practices Takeaway:<\/b><span class=\"tadv-format-panel\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Focus each and every email on <\/span><b>just one small action.<\/b><span class=\"tadv-format-panel\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Do you want them to head to a blog post? What about hitting \u201creply\u201d and tell you something? Want them to click \u201cenroll\u201d on your program? Every word, every story, every hilarious GIF in your email should work toward that one goal.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Be consistent.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"tadv-format-panel\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This one is like, duh. I even thought about not including it. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"tadv-format-panel\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But despite the fact that we know consistency is <\/span><i><span class=\"tadv-format-panel\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\">key<\/span><\/i><span class=\"tadv-format-panel\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the know-like-trust factor, we still say things like, \u201cI just don\u2019t want to <\/span><i><span class=\"tadv-format-panel\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\">annoy<\/span><\/i><span class=\"tadv-format-panel\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> them.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You know what\u2019s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">really <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">annoying? Someone popping up in my inbox like they KNOW ME, when they only have something to sell.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Email Marketing Best Practices Takeaway:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Email your list enough to build a culture of action with the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">small things<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> before you ask for something big (like buying your thing). Nothing gets your people hitting \u201cdelete\u201d before they even open your email like <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">only showing up when you have something to sell<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Don\u2019t be the friend who only asks and never gives.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s time we work together to rid the world of boring email marketing.
