Let\u2019s simplify your to-do list down to three critical, but bite-sized steps to help you get the momentum you need for 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re taking a look at your positioning, pricing and process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hbbadmin.dev.reliablepenguin.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/SoftClickStudios_2-1300x867.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22663\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Photo credit: Soft Click Studio<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 1: Positioning<\/strong> for Momentum<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Positioning is all about refining your target market and working on your marketing material to match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are a few questions to ask yourself to get started:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Who were my top 3 clients this year? <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What did those top 3 clients have in common?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What unique problem did I solve for them? <em>(Hint \u2013 the answer to this question goes into your marketing copy!)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Where did these clients find me? <em>(Hint \u2013 this helps you to determine what platforms to focus your marketing efforts on.)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 2: Pricing<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s really common for small business owners to get to the end of the month, or the end of the year (tax time!) and wonder, where did all of my money go?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before finalizing pricing for the new year, it&#8217;s important to get real about your costs and expected profits per client!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Some questions to ask are:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How much on average did I pay each assistant? Were there additional fees I forgot to account for at the start?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How much did I spend on marketing, web support, gear and online tools this year? <em>(Hint: You can divide this by the average number of weddings you do a year to understand how much material cost to add to each wedding)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How much do I want to take home per wedding?
