Connecting with friends from all over the country, and even the world, through pictures is just too fun. Maybe we\u2019re little biased because we\u2019re photographers, but a social media platform that\u2019s dedicated entirely to PICTURES is. our. jam. We share a ton of our professional work on our Instagram accounts, but we also love to share instant photos from our personal life taken with our trusty iPhones. Sometimes we snap a photo we love from our phones, and there\u2019s something in it\u00a0that\u2019s distracting our eye from appreciating the memory, but we <em>still<\/em> want to put it on Instagram. Today, we\u2019re going to share our quick-fix secret: how to remove objects from iphone photos!<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a little screenshot of Amy\u2019s last six posts. Today, we\u2019re going to pay attention to the one on the bottom right of the grid (taken with an iPhone).<\/p>\n<div class=\"pinit-wrapper\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24185 size-full\" src=\"\" alt=\"How To Remove Objects from iPhone Photos\" width=\"1700\" height=\"1081\" \/><\/div>\n<p>So here\u2019s the\u00a0photo you saw on Amy\u2019s Instagram:<\/p>\n<div class=\"pinit-wrapper\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24170 size-full\" src=\"\" alt=\"How To Remove Objects from iPhone Photos\" width=\"1700\" height=\"1700\" \/><\/div>\n<p>And here\u2019s the original photo straight out of the phone:<\/p>\n<div class=\"pinit-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24169 size-full\" src=\"\" alt=\"How To Remove Objects from iPhone Photos\" width=\"1700\" height=\"1700\" \/><\/div>\n<p>AH!!\u00a0Notice anything different? Besides the edited\u00a0photo being much lighter\u00a0(which we\u2019ll get to to tomorrow!) you\u2019ll notice the one Amy posted is CLUTTER-FREE! No beer advertisements to be found! The eye sores all along the gate are <em>gone,<\/em>\u00a0and it only took us a minute to do it! No Photoshop or computer required!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"pinit-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24171 size-full\" src=\"\" alt=\"How To Remove Objects from iPhone Photos\" width=\"1700\" height=\"849\" \/><\/div>\n<p>We LOVED this original photo because of the PEOPLE\u00a0who are in it, which is why we wanted to post this shot in the first place. This was such a fun memory for us, but when <em>other<\/em> people look at it, we wanted them to notice the PEOPLE, and not be distracted by the eyesores on the fence. In fact, those\u00a0unwanted objects were just begging to be removed!<\/p>\n<p>So how did we do this? In <em>one minute<\/em>? While we were out and about roaming the streets of San Francisco?!<\/p>\n<p>We pulled out our <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/retouchapp\">TouchRetouch app<\/a>! It\u2019s one of our favorite apps, and it\u2019s only $1.99 <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/retouchapp\">in the App store!<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here\u00a0are the steps you can take to do the same thing whenever you have a cell phone photo you love, with an eyesore you don\u2019t:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong> Open the app and click\u00a0\u201copen from gallery.\u201d Select the photo you want to use.<\/p>\n<div class=\"pinit-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24172 size-full\" src=\"\" alt=\"How To Remove Objects from iPhone Photos\" width=\"1700\" height=\"1509\" \/><\/div>\n<p><strong>2.<\/strong> Once the photo has loaded in, select the lasso tool in the bottom left corner.<\/p>\n<div class=\"pinit-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24173 size-full\" src=\"\" alt=\"How To Remove Objects from iPhone Photos\" width=\"1700\" height=\"1509\" \/><\/div>\n<p><strong>3.<\/strong> With the lasso tool selected, zoom in on the part of the image that has the eyesore. Use your finger to draw a circle all the way around the object, until the circle is closed.<\/p>\n<div class=\"pinit-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24174 size-full\" src=\"\" alt=\"How To Remove Objects from iPhone Photos\" width=\"1700\" height=\"1509\" \/><\/div>\n<p><strong>4.<\/strong> Once you connect the circle with your finger, it will automatically fill it in and turn it red. That\u2019s when you select the \u201cplay\u201d button, and let it work it\u2019s magic! Boom! Goodbye, eyesore!<\/p>\n<div class=\"pinit-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24175 size-full\" src=\"\" alt=\"How To Remove Objects from iPhone Photos\" width=\"1700\" height=\"1004\" \/><\/div>\n<p><strong>5.<\/strong> Repeat this process (if necessary) with any other major eye sores in your image. In our case, all the advertisements on the fence are gone now (woo hoo!) and we\u2019re ready to save it using the \u201csave\u201d icon in the lower right corner.<\/p>\n<div class=\"pinit-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24176 size-full\" src=\"\" alt=\"How To Remove Objects from iPhone Photos\" width=\"1700\" height=\"1509\" \/><\/div>\n<p>That took all of one minute to complete! Now, of course, just like with any photo editing software, it\u2019s not always going to be perfect. You\u2019ll get the best results when trying to remove an object that has clean, unaffected pixels around it.<\/p>\n<p>If you really want to get fancy with it, you can even use the clone stamping tool (which is in between the play button and the save button) if the lasso tool isn\u2019t cutting it, but let\u2019s be real, when you\u2019re trying to post a photo on the go, you want it to be as quick as possible! That\u2019s why we didn\u2019t spend ten minutes trying to take the words off the glass. Is it possible? YES! Is it practical? Not in our opinion! Our goal was an iPhone photo that was clean enough so that your eyes would go to the people.
