“I met with the creative team behind Pear Tree Estate as well as Lindsey (Calligraphy) about a month before our shoot. While together we finalized the concept for the shoot; “Earth meets Industry”. The idea behind “Earth Meets Industry” stemmed from an appreciation of our natural and everyday surroundings and how they can be incorporated in such a unique and beautiful way even on a wedding day. The brilliant vendors behind this shoot brought in 100 year old barn wood, glass, textiles, brick, paper, leather and metal in the most creative ways.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

One thing that we LOVED about this shoot was how Flora Design Studio suspended so many of the arrangements. They also incorporated 100 year old barn wood into the centerpieces and the suspensions! The Pear Tree Estate is constructed in a marvelous and rustic way. The design of the venue features cedar wood, large stone fireplaces and floor to ceiling glass windows.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Texture Home, a lovely local boutique consignment shop, brought in neutral furniture, glassware and industrial styled and eclectic decor to accentuate the look of the overall shoot. The food was prepared by LA Gourmet, who are some of the most creative and talented chefs in central Illinois. The cake was brilliantly decorated by Cake Artist studio and the use of florals and metallic+matte tones on the fondant fit the theme to perfection as well!<\/em><\/p>\n

Letters by Lindsay brought in the brick table numbers, the textile name cards, the Edison bulb place cards, the glass invitations and accents, the handwritten paper runner and more. Her art was a significant contribution to the overall look of the shoot.<\/em><\/p>\n

Many vendors contributed in a very large way to this shoot and we hope the outcome can inspire couples to think outside the box and not be afraid to get creative and inventive on their special day!”<\/em><\/p>\n
